<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This document explains how you can add a new customer and edit/delete an existing one in the Back Office.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To create a new customer:</p>



<ol class="wp-block-list">
<li>Go to <strong>Back Office > Customers > Customer list.</strong></li>



<li>Tap the <strong>Add Customer + </strong>button.</li>

<li>Fill in the <strong>Add Customer</strong> form. Note that the <em>Name</em> and <em>Email</em> fields are mandatory.</li>

<li>Once you’ve filled out the form, tap <strong>Save.</strong> Now you can see the new customer in your customer list.</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To edit an existing customer profile or delete it:</p>



<ol start="5" class="wp-block-list">
<li>Go to <strong>Back Office > Customers > Customer list.</strong></li>



<li>Find the customer that you want to edit/delete and simply tap it.</li>



<li>In the <strong>Edit Customer</strong> form, you can make the necessary changes. The fields that can be edited are <em>name, phone, email, customer code, birthdate, note, address</em> and <em>points</em>.</li>



<li>Tap <strong>Save</strong> after you’re done.</li>
</ol>

<li>To delete a customer profile, repeat the steps 5 and 6. Then tap the <strong>red Trash button</strong> and tap <strong>Confirm</strong> in the dialog box that pops up.</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A key driver of your company&#8217;s value is the value of your customers. A customer database allows you to analyze and create the appropriate marketing plan for your product or service, as well as offer discounts and loyalty programs to customers.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A customer profile can be deleted only via the Back Office. Alto’s POS users with access to only the Point of Sale interface are unable to delete customer profiles.</p>

<li>From the Back Office interface go to <strong>Customers</strong> > <strong>Customer list</strong> > and click it.</li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Once charging is completed for the sale, you can enter the customer&#8217;s email to ‘Email’ field and tap ‘<strong>Send receipt</strong>” button to send a copy of the receipt to the customer.</p>

<li>Check that the email is typed correctly and all symbols are in place to make sure that the receipt is delivered to the customer.</li>
</ol>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After the success message “<strong>Succeeded</strong>”, tap <strong>Complete </strong>to start a new sale.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">2. In case if you have already tapped Complete and returned to the Point of Sale interface, go to <strong>Receipts</strong> and click on a receipt from the list to email its copy to the customer.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">From the popup window, click the <strong>vertical ellipsis (⋮)</strong> on the top right corner and choose action “<strong>Send receipt</strong>”.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">To redeem earned points for a discount:</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">1. Go to the <strong>Point of Sale</strong> and create a ticket.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">2. Tap the <strong>Add customer</strong> icon in the upper right corner of the ticket area.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">3. Select the customer from the list and tap <strong>Done</strong>. Use the search bar if necessary to find the customer by name, email or phone number.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">4. A new red icon (i.e. <strong>Customer </strong>icon) will show up instead of the <strong>Add customer</strong> icon. Tap on this icon and select the <strong>Redeem points</strong> option. Here you can see the total number of points available.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">5. Ask the customer and enter the number of points to be redeemed using the pop-up number pad.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">2. In the <strong>Add Customer</strong> form, fill in the must be filled fields such as, ‘name’, ‘phone’ or ‘email’. Also, you can insert a note about the customer in the note field. Tap <strong>Save </strong>to create a new customer profile.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Service charges report</strong></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This report allows you to view information about the amount of service charges applied by your employees. To view the report:</p>



<ol start="16" class="wp-block-list">
<li>Go to <strong>Back Office > Reports > Service charge</strong>.</li>



<li>You can apply filters by <em>date</em>, <em>location</em> and/or <em>employee</em> to narrow down the data if needed.</li>



<li>The report displays following data for each employee:
<ol start="1" style="list-style-type:lower-alpha" class="wp-block-list">
<li>gross sales affected by service charges;</li>



<li>total number of <em>receipts </em>affected by service charges;</li>



<li>distribution of service fees according to pre-set percentages;</li>



<li>total amount of service charge applied.<br></li>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>How to set up Alto’s Customer Display System (CDS)</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here are the steps to set up a customer display system in Alto’s and start using it:</p>

<li>First, go to <strong>Back Office > Settings > Features</strong>. Toggle the <strong>Customer displays</strong> switch on and tap <strong>Save</strong>.</li>

<li>On the <strong>Sign in </strong>screen, select <strong>Customer Display</strong>, then enter your email address and password to log in.</li>

<li>The left side of the customer display screen (<em>Ticket </em>area) instantly displays details of the order accepted at the POS.</li>
